Experienced Litigation Partner John Shaban

John Shaban heads the Connecticut office of Levine and Levine PLLC. He has extensive legal experience accrued over three decades, and currently advises clients on complex commercial planning and disputes, corporate governance issues, government relations and intellectual property protection.

Previously, John worked as a litigation partner at Whitman Breed Abbott & Morgan in Greenwich for fifteen years. At the same time, John served three terms as a State Representative for the 135th District in the Connecticut General Assembly, and was a member of the Judiciary Committee, the Finance Committee and the Environment Committee (Ranking Member). He stepped down before his fourth term to run for US Congress in 2016.
John’s legal knowledge includes numerous areas of law, including complex commercial litigation, construction law, energy and environmental law, and strategic planning. He was also a certified agent with the National Football League.

John Shaban is admitted to practice in New York and Connecticut, all the local federal courts and the United States Supreme Court. He holds an ABA accredited Environmental Law Degree from the Pace University School of Law, and graduated cum laude while also achieving various National Moot Court distinctions.

Outside of the law, John was as a player, co-owner and general manager of a semi-professional football team, and the founder and president of the team’s charitable youth organization. He still coaches youth football.
